Super Carrier, and Network Associates International
(NAI), the world's largest independent network security
and management software company today announced plans
to provide Internet security services. The first being
NAI's PGP Desktop Security 7.0 exclusively packaged
with PSINet SmartFrame services.
NAI and PSINet have formed alliance partnership to
provide Internet security services focusing on intrusion
detection. Security on the Internet has become one of
the major concerns for businesses trading online, as
a result PSINet and NAI are working closely to provide
the latest Internet technologies to help minimise the
risks businesses may face on the Internet.
With this newly formed partnership, NAI and PSINet
have developed a security package exclusive to PSINet
customers. The package initially will be offered to
new customers subscribing to PSINet SmartFrame services,
256kbps or above. The offer will expand to PSINet customers
requesting an upgrade to their existing leased line
service.
Network Associates - NAI. PGP Desktop Security 7.0
is the only mobile and desktop security product that
delivers enterprise-class personal firewall, personal
Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Virtual Private Network
(VPN) and disk/e-mail encryption. Designed to meet the
challenging needs of mobile and remote access employees,
PGP Desktop Security 7.0 enables companies to secure
corporate data on users' laptops and protect mobile
users from security risks lurking on the Internet.
The Alliance partnership enables PSINet and NAI to
combine strengths and provide tools that the marketplace
needs.
